These are things I try to do every day and I hope maybe you’ll try to incorporate them in your life too.

A rat race. That’s what we all are a part of. The fact is the more you work, the more you succeed. Or at least that’s what some people believe and in this mad rush they often turn a blind eye, or are simply unable to see the suffering of others.

Yes, our lives are busy, but if each of us were to spend 5 mins every day on doing something nice or helping another, I think that maybe, just maybe the world be a better place. It doesn’t take much, but kindness and love really do go a long way.

Here are 5 things you could do to help make this world a better place:

Smile
Someone once told me that they were having a horrible day and then out of the blue a stranger smiled at them. At first it felt a bit weird but then they smiled back and for those two seconds that they snapped out of their work related thoughts and felt happy for no reason at all. This applies more for children. Smile at them. Make them believe is goodness.

Help the elderly/disabled/pregnant women
Help them get on and off public transport/offer them a seat. Kindness makes the world go round.

Homeless people
Maybe the next time you see a homeless person you could give them something to eat. Or when the weather is bad, something to help them like a old blanket/sweater. A friend of mine has started a movement called ‘BACKPACKS OF HOPE’ where they help those in need by giving them backpacks filled with things they actually need to survive and it just seems like a beautiful idea to me. This is their Facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/Back-packs-of-hope-1795188457427042

Stray animals
In many countries strays are sent to shelters but what some of us don’t know is that these are kill shelters so if my any chance you have the opportunity to make sure an animal stays out of these places please do so.

Further, adopt. Don’t shop. Please encourage everyone you know to adopt. The benefits of this are twofold,it helps animals languishing in shelters and in the case of kill shelters it literally saves their lives and secondly it goes against breeders who use animals for their personal gain.

Don’t waste food
Any surplus food can be packed and given to homeless people/strays.

These are things I try to do every day and I hope maybe you’ll try to incorporate them in your life too.
