This concept is becoming more and more popular these days. I was sitting around one day and thinking, “How can I make my life less complicated and stressful?” It hit me like a ton of bricks “why not de-clutter my life?” I hate clutter in my home it makes me crazy and about twice a year I go through the house and find things to donate. It makes me feel better knowing that the stuff that is just sitting in my home is going to go to someone who needs it and appreciates it. I even keep my large seasonal furniture in storage until winter comes as it just gets in the way over the summer. Something like these Storage Units Sydney are ideal if you’d like to do the same. Some people that I know though have decided to rent a dumpster to completely get rid of any clutter they have. If you are thinking of doing the same, then why don’t you compare dumpster rental companies in your area for a deal that suits you better. I’ve also been thinking about how I could incorporate this concept in my life as a whole. Here are some things I have found that is working.
De-clutter your body– I am not saying you should go on a diet but try eating fresh foods. I rarely eat out but I notice when I do I feel very tired and run down. I have really tried hard to bring in fresh fruits and vegetables into my home. I definitely have more energy and just feel better physically and mentally. If you are not into fruits and veggies maybe try not eating out so much and cook a few meals a week at home.
De-clutter your mind– Let go of regrets, grudges and negative self image. I have a horrible time doing this to myself and I have started doing this and it has been life changing. I came to the realization I cannot change anyone but myself. I have made mistakes and I have learned from them. Me and my body have been through some tough times and I was not kind to it for many years. I tell myself even though I may not like some things about my body it gifted me 2 amazing children. I am a mother and I am healthy. I eat right and exercise regularly I do not need to be a certain weight or size to be beautiful. Tell yourself that you are the only one that can make you happy. Try changing the way you view yourself and I bet the way you view others will start to change as well. Stop being so hard on yourself, you are human and none of us are perfect. Tell yourself daily you are worth it.
De-clutter your routine– This is one that I really like. If you have things that you do in your daily routine that are not working for you or just don’t make you happy then it’s time for a change. I hate working out, so instead of doing workouts that I dread I find ones that I enjoy. I love to dance and if you do to then try incorporating that into your workouts.
Another example that I personally like is, if you have a bad habit of not sitting at the dinner table as a family and instead you sit in front of the T.V. Try sitting together as a family and talking about your day. I am always trying to find ways to bring my family closer together and this is a great example of a easy way to accomplish it. We are all so caught up with television, smart phones, tablets and video games that it is becoming normal not to speak to each other. If you are feeling like your life is stuck, try changing it up a little and see what little changes can improve the quality of your life.
Our lives are stressful enough and it seems like there is so much pressure coming at us from every angle. Try simplifying your life and stop doing things that make you unhappy. You only get one life so why not make the best of it. Don’t fill your life with people that don’t make you happy. Fill your life with people who love and care about you. Fill yourself full of positive thoughts instead of being so critical all the time. I want my children to get the best me they can and I want to be a positive role model for them. I want them to enjoy life and know that even with how crazy it gets sometimes that we can still be happy. If you are wanting something different in your life, try getting out all of the clutter.
