Today is celebrated as international women’s day. We’ve all grown up doing something special for our mom on special days like her birthday and women’s day. I remember making cards with my sisters and telling her we have a surprise for her. As we grew up childish cards morphed into store bought gifts and cards but, the emotion stayed the same.
However, the one thing we have failed to understand till date is this- women don’t need to be appreciated only on one day. Taking out one single day out of 365 days in a year to appreciate what the women in our lives do for us, is just too less. Our mothers, our wives, our sisters…they are an indispensable part of our lives.
Our mothers are the core of our existence, our sisters our friends and our wives our companions. Women play such a large number of roles in our lives from being a caregiver to being our lovers. This concept holds true for other days too like, Father’s day, Valentine’s day etc. The people in our life enrich it and they should feel cherished and loved all year through.
