Feeling great in yourself is a must if you really want to excel in life. If you don’t love yourself or don’t think much of yourself you won’t have the self-belief needed to really make a go of whatever goals and dreams you may have.
There are many ways you can feel good about yourself. The key thing to remember is that everyone is different. People respond differently to different things. So what might make you feel good and healthy won’t do the same for someone else.
If there isn’t anything here for you, that doesn’t mean there isn’t something! It isn’t a prescriptive list but it might help you think about something new you could try.
Taking Care of Yourself
This can come in a lot of different forms. One of the main ones is self-maintenance. If there’s something that’s bothering you, sort it out. Whether that means seeing an oral surgeon, or perhaps thinking about getting some time with a dermatologist. You could think about joining a gym, or maybe even getting a haircut.
If you look good, feeling good will follow. This can be as simple as buying some new clothes and trying out some different styles to what you’re used to. Change can always be good. Just don’t max out the credit card.
Challenge Yourself Mentally
This is a great way to feel good about yourself. When you overcome something mentally stimulating you automatically feel good for doing it. It’s also really good for your brain. If you have confidence in your own ability to overcome mental problems then you’ll exude confidence and apply it to your work and everyday life.
Confidence is sometimes said to be half the battle. There are multiple ways to challenge yourself like this. Some people consider finishing a challenging book a mental accomplishment. Others like doing jigsaw puzzles, or sitting on the porch with sudoku. Whatever you choose, make sure it’s a challenge. If it isn’t, you won’t really feel the benefit.
Cut Down On Social Media
Teddy Rosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” If you’re constantly comparing your life to those on social media, it’s going to greatly impact your mental health. One way to get over this is to get off social media and live your life! If you think the toxicity of social media is getting you down, then this could be the perfect time to cut loose.
Change Up The Diet
If you find yourself always eating junk or take out food then this is a sure fire way to cut out some bad food and bad feeling. Eat more fruit and vegetables and moderate the bad stuff you’re eating. Drink more water too and before long you’ll be feeling a whole lot better.
A lot of the time when you’re hungry you’ll actually be thirsty, so by setting a water goal you can ensure you cut down your food intake. Water is great for your skin, and it also speeds up your metabolism so if you see yourself needing to lose weight this can be a great way to kick start your new diet and exercise regimen.
