Be grateful for the difficult people, they show you exactly what not to be.
Before I talk about dealing with haters, let’s discuss haters…
Do you leave people feeling happy, or drained? Do you spend your days cyber-stalking, or building your own life? Do you avoid gossip, or do you enjoy delving into a real life soap opera? Are you spending your days resenting others, or do you spend your days lifting people up? Do you voice your appreciation, or do you use your voice for complaints?
These aren’t the extreme examples, but I’m pretty sure we all know what constitutes a “hater”, we’re just not always willing to admit if we’re one. If you’re a hater, why won’t you take that time to focus on your own life, build your own dreams, and cultivate your own relationships?
Own it, and then make it a daily habit to put out positive vibes. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Don’t get sucked into lives that don’t even involve you.
So how do we deal with haters? It’s pretty simple; ignore them. Not everyone is going to like you. You may rub them the wrong way, they may be jealous of your life, or your relationship or even your success… or they could just be miserable cruel haters. But guess what? It has nothing to do with you. You can’t live your life expecting or hoping that everyone is going to love you. Well, you can, but that sounds like a lot of heartache.
Live your life with the intent of being the greatest version of yourself, and then spend every day acting on it. Don’t allow yourself to become a hater, and don’t live life worried about the haters. Life’s too short for that.
